Third Hildesheim LyrikPark (PoetryPark) 2012

International request for proposals for poetry-installations embracing the motto "Was die Welt zusammen...hält!"
("What keeps the world together / What treasures do we hold?")

The LyrikPark (PoetryPark) is a big literature and art festival organised in Hildesheim, north Germany, by KulturFabrik Löseke (culture factory Löseke) und Forum-Literaturbüro (forum literature office). After similar events 2008 and 2010 it will take part for the third time from Juli 13th to 15th 2012 in public park former cemetery Marienfriedhof. We understand poetry to be the diversity found in music, readings, cabaret, interactive authors' workshops and surprise activities. And in fascinating object poems growing all over the park.

For the 2012 PoetryPark we request proposals for installations. This year's motto is "Was die Welt zusammen...hält!", a word play including the two meanings "what keeps the world together" and "what treasures do we hold". Anything is possible from poetry swallows to drift bottle, visual poetry to enshrouded trees, sound installations to magic words growing to the Heavens.

Authors and artists of all disciplines are welcome, who are prepared to work with the location and the motto. All materials can be used to make your work materialise, including wood, metal, glass, rock, cloth, and paper. Participants must take into account that objects will be displayed under open skies. They must either be weatherproof or disintegration must be intended.
